Unlock the Power of Intensives in Clinical Practice

This immersive workshop is designed for therapists who want to deepen their clinical offerings beyond the weekly/hourly therapy model. Whether you’re just exploring intensives or ready to integrate them into your private practice, this one-day training will give you the tools, structure, and confidence to offer high-impact, healing-centered work.

Welcome to the Self-Guided Intensive Workshop

There are 7 modules for you to work through at your own pace. Each module includes recorded audio from the live workshop that guides you through the slide presentation. You’ll also find written summaries and reflection prompts to deepen your learning and help integrate what you’re exploring.

Take your time with each section—there’s no rush. I encourage you to pause often, jot down questions or insights, and revisit any part of the material that speaks to you. As you move through the course, notice what resonates, what challenges you, and what feels meaningful.

You can bring any questions, ideas, or places you feel stuck to your included 30-minute follow-up consultation. I look forward to hearing what you’re discovering!

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • How to assess if a client is clinically ready for an intensive
  • Ways to structure half-day, full-day, and multi-day intensives
  • A breakdown of different intensive models you can offer (individual, couple, trauma-focused, integration-based, etc.)
  • How to ethically and effectively use modalities like:

– Brainspotting + EMDR
– Internal Family Systems (IFS)
– Somatic Therapy
– Mindfulness + Meditation
– Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (where legally applicable)

  • How to create a powerful arc of healing within a single-day or multi-day format
  • Guidance for integration and post-intensive follow-up
  • Tools for outcome tracking and feedback gathering
  • Business tips for pricing, scheduling, and sustaining this model

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Therapists in private practice
  • Trauma specialists wanting to go beyond the weekly/hourly sessions
  • Clinicians that work from a holistic, whole person lens
  • Ketamine-Assisted Therapy providers
  • Clinicians looking to reduce burnout and work more deeply with clients

This will teach you how to use the modalities you already work with in an intensive format. You do not need to be EMDR, Brainspotting or IFS-certified to attend. This is an educational workshop and not a clinical supervision or certification training.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the clinical rationale for offering therapy intensives and identify key differences between intensive and weekly therapy formats.

  2. Assess client readiness for trauma-focused intensive work, including evaluating nervous system regulation, risk factors, and therapeutic goals.

  3. Develop a structured framework for designing therapy intensives, including intake, treatment planning, pacing, and follow-up care.

  4. Apply trauma-informed principles to the facilitation of therapy intensives, including ethical considerations, consent, and client stabilization.

  5. Integrate multiple therapeutic modalities (e.g., EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS, somatic interventions) into intensive work to support safe and effective processing.
